Physiotherapist at Försvarshälsan

Försvarshälsan provides free health care for conscripts and cadets as well as occupational health care for employees within Halmstad garrison. The garrison is in an expansive phase and currently has about 1100 employees, 400 conscripts, and 300 cadets.

At Försvarshälsan, there are physiotherapists/ergonomists, nurses, doctors, psychologists, occupational health engineers, and medical secretaries. All professionals have experience from various sectors within health care and are in many cases also multi-competent. Together we form a team where collaboration is one of our guiding stars.

Qualifications:

• Qualified physiotherapist
• Driving license B

Desirable:

• Ergonomics training and training in OMT or equivalent competence in diagnostics and treatment is desirable. Furthermore, experience in occupational health care and sports medicine is preferred.
• Completed military service and/or previous experience of service in the Armed Forces

Job responsibilities:

As a physiotherapist at Försvarshälsan, you will have varied job responsibilities. At the clinic, work is carried out for promotional and preventive purposes as well as rehabilitation of sports and strain injuries, primarily for conscripts and cadets. For employees, medical assessments and support in rehabilitation are provided.

As a physiotherapist, you should have knowledge in:

• Examination and treatment of strain injuries, disabilities, tension, and pain conditions.
• Mapping of workplaces at individual and group levels, analysis of risk factors and correlations, ergonomic assessments of the workplace, and providing suggestions for ergonomic improvements as well as selection of work methods and techniques.
• Functional assessment, fitness testing, physical training, stress management.
• Body awareness training, relaxation, and stress relief.
• Rehabilitation work in consultation with other staff.
• Education and advisory efforts.

As health, well-being, and physical status are prioritized in the Armed Forces, you will have the opportunity to train during working hours. The employment is a 6-month temporary position starting in August 2025. Individual salary setting applies.

The Air Defense operates on the ground and is part of the army, but often collaborates with the Air Force. The Air Defense monitors the airspace with mobile sensors (such as radar), detects threats, and protects important objects and operations from attacks from the air through combat with missiles. The two air defense battalions included in the operational defense are trained and kept on standby by the Air Defense Regiment.
