Job Responsibilities

Avenboken treatment center is a residential home for adult addicts. The target group includes women and men with drug, alcohol, and/or mixed substance abuse. At Avenboken, the target group is from 20 years and older.

We are now looking for substitute staff who want a fun job with many opportunities and wish to develop in a stimulating environment.

Working hours include days, evenings, weekends, or night shifts, where tasks focus on practical chores but primarily on providing support for individuals undergoing treatment here. To be considered for the position, you must be able to work evenings and weekends.

We work with individually tailored care times and treatment plans where individual needs dictate, which places high demands on you as an employee to be flexible and adaptable to situations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has an ongoing (at least three semesters completed) or completed university education in social work and previous experience in social work.

Experience in institutional work, psychiatric work, and working with individuals with substance abuse/dependency is advantageous. A driving license (B) and knowledge of other languages besides Swedish and English are also merits.

As a person, you are proactive, creative, and have a positive view of humanity. You are self-sufficient and can independently plan your working hours. You reflect on your work and have a high degree of flexibility, especially when it comes to demonstrating symptom tolerance for deviant behavior. The job also requires good collaboration skills both within the workplace and with external actors, and you are skilled at building relationships.

About the Workplace

At the treatment center, employees work together in close collaboration with each other and with individual users to create the best possible conditions for the individual to make a change in their life situation and to live a sober and drug-free life.

Avenboken employs 11 staff members.
