Welcome to us
Västertorpsskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 450 students.
The school is located along the red line towards Fruängen and close to public transport and all the advantages it brings for excursions and cultural activities, but also has access to nature and outdoor environments such as forests and parks. We focus our school around HEARTS, which permeates our approach to teaching and interaction. HEARTS stands for Health, Empathy, Work Peace, Respect, Safety, and Cooperation. Our multicultural composition, with over 30 languages and nationalities, permeates our daily work to promote learning, inclusion, and social security for all our children.
We offer
A position as a teacher at 40% with instruction in Home and Consumer Studies at Västertorpsskolan and currently also 20% for the neighboring school that is taught by us in our facilities. The main position will be 40%, and any agreement for 20% will be made based on the needs of other schools.
Your role
We are looking for a qualified teacher in Home and Consumer Studies for teaching in our 6th grade, and the position will be placed in team/work group 4-6.
You have the ability to design the teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs and structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and adequate learning environment. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.
You need to be driven, proactive, and courageous in your leadership and dare to lead the class with clear frameworks. We prefer that social accessibility complements professional expertise to maximize students' safety and learning. The position entails the usual tasks of a teacher, including planning, teaching, follow-up, grading, and analysis of daily work, as well as contact with homes and students regarding both learning and social environment. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other assignments included in your role effectively.
You are solution-focused and contribute constructive feedback to colleagues and management and find solutions that enable a functioning everyday life for both students and the organization. Your intuition regarding adaptations in the classroom and inclusive teaching to the greatest extent possible is important for a good student development approach. You have good collaboration skills with colleagues and contribute to the work with perspectives, help, and support and contribute to collegial learning. You are secure, stable, and self-aware, and you value and create good conditions for collaboration as well as good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Your skills and experience
Several years of work experience are meritorious, and certification and qualification are important.
