About the role Our client is looking for an engaged and communicative Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a six-month assignment starting in August 2025.
In this role, you will be a vital part of their quality and supplier work within engines and gearboxes. You will be part of a team of eight people who work closely with both production support and operations quality. The role involves daily contact with suppliers across Europe, where you act as a requirements setter, problem solver, and quality guarantor.
Your future responsibilities
You will work closely with your colleagues in the team, where you together are responsible for ensuring quality from suppliers and approving new articles and outcome samples. A large part of the work involves identifying, communicating, and following up on quality deviations using established tools and methods.
Examples of tasks:
- Provide feedback to suppliers and demand actions for quality deficiencies
- Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and verify actions according to 8D
- Be responsible for the approval of new articles and material samples
- Lead and follow up on improvement projects related to quality and cost
- Manage supplier contacts within Europe, including some travel
- Work with and follow up on PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Use SAP as system support in daily work
- Participate in daily sequence meetings to identify risks and improvement opportunities
We are looking for someone who Has at least two years of experience working as an SQE or in a similar role within the industry. You should have previous experience with engines and gearboxes, as well as being well-versed in quality methods such as 8D, RCA, DMAIC, PPAP, and FMEA. Experience with ISO 9001 audits is also a plus.
You are a person who enjoys working in a team, is helpful, driven, and communicative. The role requires a high level of responsibility, the ability to stay ahead, and ensure that improvements are driven forward. You have a structured working method and manage both operational and strategic tasks with a focus on results. Proficiency in Swedish and English is required.
