About Us

The health center in Mellerud has about 8,000 registered patients.

We are a well-functioning unit staffed with doctors, district nurses, specialist nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Under the same roof, we have a child health center, youth clinic, rehabilitation clinic, and occupational therapy with which we collaborate closely. We also have a strong team for mental health. The health center has made a fresh start regarding accessibility and medical quality within the general medical mission.

You will always have access to guidance from an experienced specialist on site. You are expected to actively contribute to our improvement work with great opportunities for personal development. In Mellerud and Dalsland, we work with rural medicine, a way of working, a way of being, a way of living, which consists of distance and proximity. Distance to hospitals contributes to patients seeking your help instead of the hospital, which means you will handle significantly more different medical conditions and situations. Proximity as we are right among our patients in the community, we know them, gain high trust, and arrange for the patient's best interests. All in accordance with what is now referred to as good and close care.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center span a broad field and encompass general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work independently and variably with outpatient care.

About You

You are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care. You possess language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good attitude as you will meet many different patients at the health center. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
