Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Municipal Executive Office is responsible for governance, management, and coordination within the municipality. We contribute to making visions and political decisions a reality. We are about 275 employees with specialist knowledge in areas such as finance, procurement, HR, communication, development and administration, digitization, law, place development, and safety and security issues.

The Position and Responsibilities

The Procurement Unit at the Municipal Executive Office is responsible for conducting all procurements for the municipality's administrations.

Our operations are conducted with a clear customer focus. As support in the procurement work, we use the procurement system Kommers and have implemented electronic trading throughout the municipality. Our task is to develop and strategically manage the total procurement volume, which amounts to approximately 2.6 billion annually for the municipality.

The Procurement Unit currently has 25 employees who together drive and develop the procurement and purchasing operations with the goal of being a leader in public procurement. We work with category management, which means we deepen our knowledge within each category to work more proactively with our internal clients and suppliers.

We are now looking for a category manager for the procurement unit focusing on goods and services. Depending on interest and competence, you will work with category areas such as vehicles and transportation, consumables, or another suitable category within the goods and services area. You will report to the municipality's procurement manager and will be one of 12 procurement officers in the unit.

Your Responsibilities Will Primarily Include:

• Independently leading and conducting procurements within the goods and services category in collaboration with the relevant operations.
• Being responsible for managing and following up on signed agreements within your area of responsibility.
• Developing the municipality's work on procurement and follow-up in collaboration with colleagues and the municipality's contract and procurement controller.
• Providing advice and support in procurement and call-off issues.

Who You Are

You who apply to us have a university degree in economics, law, engineering, or another post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant.

• Experience in independently conducting goods and service procurements.
• Good knowledge of public procurement (LOU).
• Communicates well in spoken and written Swedish.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• In-depth knowledge and experience of public procurement.
• Experience of working with category management either in public or private operations.
• Knowledge and experience in project management.
• Experience in a politically governed organization.
