About the role

As a Health, Safety & Operational Excellence (HSX) Specialist at our distribution center, you play a key role in driving and further developing our HSX strategy with a particular focus on Lean and Operational Excellence. You report to the HSX manager and work closely with managers and employees throughout the organization. Your main task is to initiate, lead, and implement improvement projects that enhance productivity and quality while strengthening the work environment.

What you will do:

• Be an expert resource in Lean and Operational Excellence and support the business with improvement work.
• Act as a project manager where you initiate and lead improvement projects from start to finish – including planning, execution, and follow-up.
• Coach managers and employees in Lean tools, methods, and standardized work processes.
• Drive ongoing initiatives and develop and lead training and workshops in Lean and improvement work.
• Follow up on improvement activities and take action to ensure measurable results.
• Contribute to developing a culture of continuous improvement and participation throughout the organization.
• Work to integrate safety and security into daily operations and support the business in systematic workplace safety efforts.
• Participate in the management team for the operations organization (Outbound/Inbound) and contribute with analysis, strategy, and operational support.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is engaged, structured, and results-oriented, with a great passion for Lean and improvement work. You have experience in project management, leading teams, and working data-driven to achieve set goals. Your strength lies in combining project management skills with coaching leadership, where you inspire others to work on continuous improvements.

We believe you have a post-secondary education and several years of experience in areas such as Lean, production, logistics, or business development with experience leading improvement projects in Lean/Operational Excellence. You are a proficient user of Lean tools and methods and have experience leading cross-functional projects. Since you will also work with issues related to systematic workplace safety, it is advantageous if you have experience in workplace safety and security.
