About the company GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world’s aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for aircraft engines form Engines together, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.
GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.
About the role As a Customer Manager, you are the voice of the customer within the organization – and at the same time the company’s face to the outside. You have clear customer responsibility within a specific business area, focusing on a few recurring international customers. Your customers are other companies in the industry, and your communication takes place both internally and externally – with the aim of building strong, long-term relationships and ensuring that deliveries and commitments are met at the highest level.
In your daily work, you are responsible for all communication with the customer, which includes delivery follow-up, recovery plans, handling deviations, qualifications, and changes at the item number level. You see what is happening in the business, gather information, create structure, and translate this into clear and proactive communication.
You act as a coordinating link between production, delivery plans, and customer requirements. By coordinating both internal and external parties, you ensure that our deliveries align with customer expectations – while driving improvement work and following up on both financial and operational key performance indicators.
Your profile To succeed in the role of Customer Manager, we believe you are a structured and solution-oriented person with strong communicative and social skills. You find it easy to build relationships and create clarity, even when circumstances change – and you thrive in a daily environment where you can coordinate, organize, and drive collaborations forward.
You have previous experience in a coordinating role, preferably within industry, technology, purchasing, production, or supply chain. You have a natural drive and are comfortable switching between operational details and strategic perspectives.
The role requires you to be both analytical and action-oriented – you see the big picture but can also drill down into details to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. You are curious, attentive, and have an open attitude that builds trust in interactions with both internal and external parties.
Since the job involves daily communication with international customers, you need to express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English – in both speech and writing.
Previous experience in similar areas such as program management, purchasing, or technical customer responsibility is advantageous, as is an academic background in engineering or economics.
