We are currently looking for a section leader for Department 22 in Varberg, which is a general psychiatric ward for patients aged 18 and older!
Job Responsibilities
As a section leader, you will work to create continuity in the department and thereby improve leadership, governance, and the work environment for your colleagues and care for the patients.
The section leader works directly under the department head and primarily works daytime, Monday to Friday.
Examples of job responsibilities:
- Participate in, lead, and coordinate the daily work in the department.
- At the request of the department head and MLA (medically responsible physician), lead selected parts of the department's change and development work.
- Assist the department head and MLA in planning and developing patient safety work in the department.
- Be responsible for ensuring that national measurements are conducted, such as hygiene, pressure ulcers, etc.
- Be able to replace the department head in their absence regarding urgent operational issues if needed.
- Participate in clinical work in the department.
- Participate in and lead the work with incident management.
Additional job responsibilities may be added in dialogue with the department head.
About the Workplace
Department 22 is a general psychiatric care ward for patients aged 18 and older. The department has ten beds, eight regular and two designated for user-controlled admission. Common reasons for admission include suicide prevention, sleep stabilization, severe depression, and eating disorders. The department works with Safewards, a method aimed at creating safe and calm psychiatric care wards.

Qualifications
The role of section leader is a two-year appointment within the framework of a permanent employment in your base profession as a nurse or nursing assistant/caretaker.
To succeed in this role, you need to have experience and a strong interest in psychiatric care, as you will serve as a support to the nursing group in the daily work regarding structure and methods. You have a positive view of people with an interest in person-centered approaches and in developing psychiatric care in dialogue with the department head, nursing staff, and patients.
You are creative and driven to find solutions to problems while standing up for decisions made and ensuring they are followed. You are structured and clear in your communication and consider the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and decisions. As a person, you are calm, stable, and secure in yourself. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
