Description

The Department of Meals & Cleaning is responsible for the food in preschools, schools, and kitchens within elderly care operated by the municipality.

The Meals department has about 160 employees distributed over approximately 55 kitchens. In each preparation kitchen, there is a responsible chef who works together with meal assistants depending on the kitchen's size. The number of portions prepared in the various kitchens varies between 20 and 2500 per day.

The Meals department strives to prepare as much food as possible from scratch, and our primary goal is for the food to taste good and be nutritious. Another important task is to establish good eating habits and to ensure that the meal provides an opportunity for relaxation.

Kissleberg School is a F-6 school with about 250 students, and also has after-school activities. The kitchen team consists of a chef and two meal assistants.

Responsibilities

• Plan the daily work, lead and distribute tasks in the kitchen.
• Create a safe and healthy work team.
• Standard chef tasks such as purchasing, preparation, and follow-up of meals.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone with a high school education in large-scale catering or restaurant.
• At least three years of experience in the profession.
• Good knowledge of special diets, food hygiene, nutrition, and self-control.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of budget monitoring.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license B.

It is an advantage if you have experience from a service profession as well as knowledge of dietary software.

In addition to education and experience, we are looking for someone with a strong commitment to good, well-prepared, and healthy food. You are creative in everything related to food/meals, open to new ideas, and have a positive drive to take on new challenges in the profession. You have good collaboration skills, are proactive, flexible, and service-oriented.
