Maintenance Technician in Park/Nature Conservation

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician in Park/Nature Conservation for the Environmental and Community Building Administration. In this role, you will work practically with supervision and maintenance of nature reserves, the municipality's forest areas, and bathing places.

Job Responsibilities

The work is varied and includes everything from clearing and tree felling to putting up signs, building windbreaks, and replenishing firewood in the nature reserves. You will also contribute to creating and maintaining outdoor facilities such as barbecue areas, trails, and other nature-related maintenance areas.

• Maintenance and upkeep of nature reserves, the municipality's forest areas, and bathing places.
• Practical carpentry work, such as building and repairing signs, fences, windbreaks, docks, and barbecue areas.
• Clearing and tree felling.
• Replenishing firewood in nature reserves and outdoor areas.
• Maintenance of trails and outdoor facilities.
• Handling of ATVs and boats as needed.

The position is part of park operations, which means that other tasks may also occur as needed.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Relevant education and/or experience in carpentry, building crafts, or other education or experience that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Chainsaw certificate A and B
• Experience working with brush cutters, including safe handling and use in various environments.
• Driver's license B
• Basic computer skills

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in timber framing.
• Brush cutter certification (RA, RB) or equivalent training.
• Experience in independent work in forest and land.
• Boating experience - experience in operating boats and working on water.
• Chainsaw certificate C.
• BE and/or C driver's license.
• Experience driving ATVs.

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment. Start date according to agreement.
