About the Department

The University Administration is a unit responsible for supporting rectors, deans, and academic councils and committees primarily in investigation, quality assurance and quality development, internationalization, statistics and analysis, safety coordination, and collaboration. Support is also provided to teachers and researchers in research advising, innovation advising, and higher education pedagogical development. The unit is partially new and will be formed in connection with a new organization of the university's operational support starting from 2025-07-01.

We are now looking for an experienced manager and leader for the newly formed unit.

Job Description

As the leader of the University Administration, you will play a key role in driving the unit forward. Since the unit is new, with staff from various operations within the university, you will play an important role in creating the best possible conditions for the formation of the unit. In your role as unit manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving and developing issues within the unit's operational area, the unit's staff, budget, and work environment. The unit will consist of approximately 20 people.

You will be part of the university's management council and report to the rector.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree relevant to the unit's operational area. A doctoral degree is an advantage. You should have experience as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility. Experience as a manager or working within any of the department's operational areas at a university or college is an advantage. You should also have experience in development and change work and enjoy involving others in developing the operation. A good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, is required.
