Group Manager at Gamla Uppsala Buss

Gamla Uppsala Buss is looking for a group manager who will play a central role in the management and training of our bus driver group. The role of group manager is relatively new in the company, so you will have great opportunities to be part of the development and improvement work in the department.

About the position

Together with 7 colleagues, you will be responsible for a group of approximately 500 bus drivers. With the driver in focus, you will be available to support them in their daily work. The role combines both leadership and training, which means you will also train future drivers who do not have a D-license.

In this role, you will have close collaboration and support from other departments such as Traffic Management, Personnel Planning, and HR. There is also an opportunity to receive basic training in what you will be working with.

Who are you?

You will work with employees who need both support and guidance in their work. Therefore, it is very important that you are service-oriented, attentive, and humble in your leadership, allowing others to participate and have their say. You are also clear and can see the big picture when making decisions.

In your role as a trainer, you will work with classroom instruction, so you enjoy standing in front of people and have a pedagogical approach. You need to be good at conveying routines in a simple way.

The role offers great variation in tasks, which requires you to be able to work in a structured manner and independently drive and complete projects. You will work closely with your team, so it is important that you have good collaboration skills and are flexible. The group is already used to working together with the mindset that no thought or idea is too silly to discuss.

Since a large part of the role involves training, it is a requirement that you have held a D-license for at least five years, as well as YKB. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in leadership, pedagogical training, and/or documented experience working with adult education for at least 6 months. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and that you are the right person for the role.

The group you will work with has extensive experience in training, where they thoughtfully support each other, have good patience, and are good listeners. You will report to a unit manager within the Traffic department.
