About the Job

We are currently looking for an endoscopy assistant to be placed at the Endoscopy Unit where we perform both colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and ERCP.

As an endoscopy assistant, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms. You will prepare and inform patients before examinations and assist doctors or endoscopists during procedures. Your work also includes informing patients about any findings after the examination and being responsible for any samples taken as well as cleaning the endoscopy room and equipment according to current hygiene regulations.

You will work in a team with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and coordinators focusing on the patient's perspective and safety. We alternate between assisting and caring for the patient to ensure a good working environment.

The surgical outpatient clinic at Halland Hospital Halmstad represents all specialties as well as the endoscopy clinic and vascular surgical treatment. In Halmstad, there are surgical care departments focused on elective surgery, palliative care, and emergency surgery, a surgical treatment department, and a palliative consulting team.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with a couple of years of experience in nursing. Experience working in an endoscopy unit is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven and easily adaptable to different situations. We see collaboration, commitment, and flexibility as essential qualities in you. You have a professional and humble approach and attitude and contribute to creating a good working climate. You also have a strong interest in development and improvement work. We are looking for someone who wants to work purposefully and actively contribute to modern healthcare.

We work in teams and strive for a more patient-centered approach in the clinic. We highly value the working environment and actively address this at both the department and clinic levels. Personal qualities will be given significant weight.

Working Hours

At Halland Hospital, we work together to staff the operations that are necessary around the clock. This means that part of the working hours may be scheduled for evenings and weekends.
