The Social Administration offers an independent and varied job in care and support where you can work at different times.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to help our clients in their home environment in Varberg municipality. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside nursing assistants, nurses, and other staff to provide care and support while actively promoting our clients' health and well-being in their own homes.

Your main responsibilities will include visiting the individuals we support and providing care and assistance based on their individual needs. You will also perform delegated medical tasks. The work involves both supporting and assisting with, for example, dressing, hygiene, meals, transfers, and social interaction, as both aspects are important to ensure a dignified and independent life for the individual.

Documentation is an important part of the job, and you will be responsible for accurately and securely documenting in our journal systems, which may include reporting deviations, well-being, or changes in health status that need attention.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

As an employee of Varberg municipality, resource shifts are included, meaning you may work in other operations beyond your primary placement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has their heart in the right place and is passionate about making a difference in people's everyday lives. While we value education and experience in care and support, your interest and engagement are what matter most.

If you are trained or in training to become a nursing assistant, we consider this an asset, but it is not a requirement. If you have a professional license as a nursing assistant, please attach it to your application.

The work requires you to have a good ability to adapt your work to the needs and situations of different care recipients, as well as good collaboration skills. You should be a person who is attentive, flexible, enjoys facing new challenges, and has the ability to recognize both expressed and unexpressed needs in the operation.

If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES or Switzerland, you need to present your work permit and show a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate.

We place great importance on personal suitability and that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and speaking.
