JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Then this might be the job for you! We are now looking for a temporary head chef for Lindåsskolan's kitchen in Sydväst 2, where your task will be to maintain and develop the quality of meals for the school's 700 students.

With passion, joy for food, and a solution-oriented ability, there are great opportunities to apply your professional skills in this kitchen. As a head chef, you play a key role in your team, which will consist of three cooks and two meal assistants in addition to yourself.

Your task as a head chef is to lead the operational work in the kitchen in an inclusive and pedagogical manner. You are visible, present, and active in the operation, both for the workgroup and the guests in the dining hall, ensuring a high quality and service level. Sustainability is close to your heart, and you have an environmentally and climate-adapted working method. The work includes both practical and administrative tasks, with an emphasis on practical work. Close collaboration with your fellow head chefs occurs regularly, and you will be responsible for recipe, menu, and purchasing planning.

You will work in various IT systems for ordering, communication, and meal planning. We strive to prepare more meals from scratch, serve a large portion of vegetarian food, and work to reduce our food waste. We offer you a developing assignment where your experience and passion for cooking contribute to a better everyday life for our guests.

The position is a full-time temporary position from 4/8-2025 to 31/12-2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a head chef education or other education that the employer deems relevant. You have several years of experience as a cook in a large kitchen environment and experience in leading large productions within public kitchens. It is advantageous if you have worked with Matilda, Proceedo, DF Respons, and Ifacts.

Furthermore, you have experience with special diets, vegetarian cooking, purchasing, and experience working with self-control according to HACCP. Since we work in several IT systems, we are looking for someone with very good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and spoken.

As a head chef and key person in your work team, you demonstrate good leadership skills by leading and motivating your employees and supporting and utilizing their competencies.

You have a genuine interest in cooking and work systematically and plan your working hours well. You are a stable person who finds it easy to collaborate and communicate. You are also solution-focused and can handle unexpected situations. To achieve your goals in your head chef role, we want you to have the ability to motivate and inspire your group so that you together reach your daily goals. You can create a team spirit, which in turn contributes to good relationships between employees, the operation, and our diners.

It is important that you are confident in your role as a supervisor in the kitchen and that you have very good communication skills. You can convey the operation's message in a constructive and informative way. You have a structured working method and can organize work in a large kitchen.
