About us

At S:t Eriks Eye Hospital, there is Sweden's only laboratory for eye pathology. At the laboratory, biomedical analysts prepare tissue material for the pathologist to conduct a microscopic examination and make a diagnosis. Diagnoses are made from tissue samples from surgeries in the eye, eyelid, and eye socket. We receive about 1,400 samples annually from all over the country.

We offer an independent job with the opportunity to contribute to research and development in eye pathology.

About the position

As a biomedical analyst, you will perform all tasks at a histopathological laboratory. Your duties include preparing tissue material, slicing, cutting out, and staining, both histochemical and immunohistochemical staining. Your work is also an important part of our research.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst. Experience in histopathological work is an advantage. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Personal qualities

You are used to working independently, are meticulous, and easy to collaborate with. You can plan and drive your work forward on your own. We would like you to be comfortable making your own decisions. Our team is highly specialized and characterized by close cooperation between BMA, pathologist, and our clinical partners. Therefore, great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent full-time employment.

A six-month probationary period may be applicable. Start date according to agreement.
