Snäckeback School is one of the municipality's two 4-9 schools. The school opened in the autumn term in newly built, beautiful premises and is centrally located in Ronneby right next to the green area Snäckebacken. It is within walking distance to the city center, swimming pool, sports hall, and the beautiful Brunnsparken. It is also within walking distance to the train station for those commuting from other places.

The school will have about 450 students distributed across grades 4-9. In the upper grades, there are full-time mentors assigned to all classes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for teachers for two positions concerning teaching in math/physics/technology or math/biology/chemistry. The combinations may change depending on the qualifications of the applicants for the positions.

In your role as a teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work individually as well as in teams. You should also find strategies to reach each individual student and support them in their knowledge development. Together with other colleagues, you should focus on the school's value base and view of knowledge. An active value base work is a given for you. You have drive and contribute to the school's quality work.

In your role, you are involved in creating a safe foundation for our students. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. You should be well acquainted with the school's governing documents and aware of its documentation requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must have a teaching license for grades 7-9. Other individuals with pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent may be considered, but then for a fixed-term employment.

You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. You should be able to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, guardians, and other professionals you meet in your profession. You should have basic knowledge of Office 365 and relevant systems for the position.
