We are now looking for more engaged and competent employees for our offices in Arvika or Karlstad.

About the Position

As a consultant in mechanical design, you will investigate, dimension, calculate, model, and document industrial facilities, create tender documents, manufacturing documents, and act as client support. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest in 3D and VR in project teams alongside experienced colleagues. Our clients are in various sectors within the process industry.

The work is conducted in both small and large projects that can be led by either the clients or us at AFRY. In the assignments, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other technical disciplines from AFRY, such as piping, construction, electrical, automation, and process experts.

As a consultant with us, you will be offered challenging and developing work where you can participate in varied assignments and work with the latest technology. You will be part of a group of experienced engineers who are eager to share their knowledge and provide support when needed.

The position will be based at one of our offices in Arvika or Karlstad.

Qualifications

In terms of experience, we believe you will recognize yourself in the following description:

• You likely have a university degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• It is advantageous if you have worked as a mechanical designer, project engineer, or project manager for several years and are familiar with the industry’s applicable directives and standards, preferably within the process industry.
• You preferably have your own network of contacts with clients and suppliers in the region.
• You have a strong drive to develop alongside your colleagues and value engagement in and responsibility for your tasks.
• We see that you appreciate a good business relationship as our contact points, both internally and externally, are based on collaboration and good relationships.
• You are communicative as well as a good listener and team player.
• You are accustomed to working in various CAD environments.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• You are flexible and can travel to our clients for shorter or longer periods.

As a person, we believe you enjoy contributing ideas and thrive in project-based work. You like to take responsibility for your work and can perform it independently while also enjoying collaborating with different competencies and people where everyone has the same goal and where you together must find the right path to reach that goal! Even though you will be a key player, you must also be a team player!
