JOB DESCRIPTION

In this position, you will be employed as a care assistant within Home Care.

The role of a care assistant in home care within the municipality is broad and includes many aspects. In this role, tasks such as social time, cleaning, dishwashing, shopping, assisting with laundry, and helping in the dining room at Hantverkaren will be included.

This position does not involve any caregiving responsibilities and is a temporary employment to help manage periods of high workloads, especially during the summer vacation periods.

The job involves visiting those in need of our help. Our area covers the entire municipality. Home care is divided into two areas, Hofors and Torsåker.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in this role, it is important that you enjoy social interactions. You find it easy to talk to elderly people and enjoy helping others.

As there may be longer distances that we need to travel, you must have access to your own vehicle and, of course, a valid driver's license to operate an EPA tractor/moped car/moped. The vehicle must be approved, insured, and, if applicable, inspected. Guardians must approve the use of the vehicle for work purposes.

In Hofors, we see that the areas can be distributed so that the central area can be reached by bicycle; bicycles are available for loan from home care. Therefore, we are also looking for those who are willing to cycle to and from visits.

Separate compensation is provided for the use of your own vehicle in the job.

No compensation is provided for bicycles.

We believe this position is suitable for those who are 16 (born in 2009) and 17 years old and are truly passionate about helping others. The job is mainly needed during weeks 25-33. If you turn 18 before 1/7 2025, we encourage you to apply for regular summer positions in the municipality. Working hours will vary based on the needs of the operations in agreement with the employer.

Before the summer position begins, an introduction will be held, which is included in the employment and is mandatory to perform the job. The introduction will be scheduled together with the respective unit manager.
