F 21 is looking for a civilian airport officer for the R3 platoon in Vidsel

Norrbotten Air Force Wing, F 21, is Sweden's northernmost air wing. The main base is in Luleå with sub-bases in Jokkmokk and Vidsel. The mission of F 21 is to deliver air operational effect through the combat aircraft divisions and JAS39. F 21 has one of the world's largest air exercise areas used by both Swedish Air Force units and units from other countries.

Applicant Unit:

You will be part of the R3 platoon in Vidsel belonging to the R3 company and F 21. Our platoon in Vidsel ensures that the airport operates according to the requirements set by regulations and the airport manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational airport service at Vidsel airport including, among other things, airport rescue service, airfield management service, and other tasks assigned to an airport function
  • Military training activities, maintaining competence and physical status
  • Maintenance and care of existing equipment and vehicles
  • The position may involve training at another location as well as travel for work
  • You are employed as a civilian official but will be included as a combatant in the Armed Forces' operational units and will be war-placed

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements

  • Approved medical examination
  • Approved work EKG, not older than 6 months
  • Completed treadmill test with a load of 200 W for at least six minutes
  • Good vision (with correction)

There is an opportunity to conduct treadmill tests, work EKG, and medical examinations in connection with any job interview at the wing.

Requirements

  • Driver's license class B

Personal Qualities

Your personal qualities are characterized by great attention to detail, high safety awareness, and a good ability to cooperate and meet other people. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious

  • Driver's license for the Armed Forces' rescue vehicles and airfield work vehicles
  • Experience in airport operations and/or airfield management service
  • Approved airport firefighter for both military and civil aviation
  • Driver's license for tracked vehicles
  • Driver's license for wheel loaders
  • Training in rescue services
  • Firefighter training
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in English
  • Driver's license class C and CE
  • Knowledge, experience, or interest in construction machinery

  • Work outside regular working hours may occur
  • Probationary employment for six months applies
