The municipal adult education targets individuals who wish to complement their previous education, gain qualifications for higher studies, enhance their skills in their profession, or acquire new training in a new field or prepare for upcoming studies.

About the position

The Vocational Training Center collaborates with the social services department for care and support within the Competence Boost. This means that you will be responsible for training programs for nursing assistants and continuing education for nursing assistants to become certified nursing assistants, which is conducted part-time.

The work requires a high degree of flexibility regarding the implementation of teaching and a significant ability to adapt to the participants' knowledge levels.

The care and support education at the Vocational Training Center is part of the Care and Support College, which means that we as educators collaborate with employers, the union, universities, and the employment service. The role also includes close collaboration with colleagues and continuous quality development within the training programs. You are expected to have both strategic collaboration skills and high cooperation competence.

Examples of tasks:

• teaching vocational subjects within care and support
• joint planning and follow-up of teaching, as well as development of the training programs
• working and documenting in the existing operational systems
• preparing students for the professional roles of nursing assistants and certified nursing assistants

About the workplace

Komvux Campus Risbergska - the adult education of opportunities, which has been gathered in newly renovated premises at Campus Risbergska since August 2017, beautifully located by Svartån near the Karlslund area.

Currently, over 200 employees work at Komvux Campus Risbergska with teaching and development for 3500 students. Education is provided within Lärvux, SFI, at basic level, at upper secondary level, and within higher vocational education – we make it possible!

Qualifications

We expect that you as a teacher with us have a flexible attitude towards your surroundings, that you are creative and have an easy time building new relationships. The position requires humility, attentiveness, and flexibility. We expect you to be a team player with your own drive. You are trustworthy in your communication and solution-focused when meeting students and colleagues. To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching based on the participants' existing competence levels. Furthermore, you are self-sufficient in your work, and the role also requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

Requirements:

• vocational teacher education with a focus on care and support/teaching certification
• qualified nurse or district nurse or other healthcare education that the employer deems relevant for the position
• experience working in digital systems

Meritorious:

• experience working with learning platforms, we use It’s Learning and Teams
• experience in teaching within adult education
• knowledge of governing documents within adult education and/or upper secondary school
