About the Position

The vacant position is as a subject teacher in the trade and service program within the customized upper secondary school at Virginska Gymnasiet.

About the Workplace

The customized upper secondary school has both an individual program and four national programs and is located at Virginska Gymnasiet, Tullängsgymnasiet, and Kvinnersta Training Area. Currently, the organization comprises 100 employees and 130 students. The customized upper secondary school is for students aged 16-20 who have an intellectual disability. Our operations are based on a holistic perspective of the student and encompass both academic and social goals. We strive to provide students with life skills and place great emphasis on developing communication and social interaction.

The customized upper secondary school is part of the Upper Secondary and Labor Market Administration. Here, 1400 employees work in various roles to provide young people and adults in Örebro with the same opportunities for education and self-sufficiency. Within the administration, there is expertise in many different areas and operations, which means that you as an employee have great opportunities for professional development in a creative and varied environment.

Qualifications

We see that you as a teacher with us have a flexible approach to your surroundings, that you are creative and have an easy time building new relationships. You are trustworthy in your communication and solution-focused when meeting students, guardians, and colleagues.

You are self-sufficient in your work, and the role also requires you to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with students and other staff, as well as document what the organization requires in writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed teacher in trade subjects, preferably in combination with other subjects
• industry experience

Meritorious:

• experience working in a customized upper secondary school
• experience working with children and youth with disabilities
• knowledge of NPF

Teacher certification with specified qualifications must be attached to the application, or alternatively, a qualification-giving diploma that entitles you to certification.
