About the workplace
In Uddevalla, there are five administrations, one of which is social services, consisting of elderly care, individual and family care, support for people with disabilities, health care, and support services.
We are now looking for a deputy head of administration who, in addition to being a support function for the head of administration, leads the administrative department. As a deputy head of administration, you will be part of the management team.
The department's mission is to support, relieve, and drive cross-administrative issues to improve quality and relieve other departments in common matters. The department includes staffing units, IT units, economic units, committee secretariats, local planning, and overarching support functions such as operational strategists, MAS, and SAS.
Uddevalla municipality actively works to increase digitization, and in the area of social services, we are one of the leading municipalities in the country regarding digital solutions. In your role, you will ensure that we continue to maintain a leading position in these matters together with these operations. Job responsibilities
As a deputy head of administration, you report directly to the head of administration. If necessary, you will also step into the role of head of administration, which may include representation, contact with the media, etc.
In your daily work, you will provide management support to the head of administration and be responsible for initiating, preparing, and driving complex issues for political decisions in the social committee and municipal council, as well as internal forums.
Together with managers and employees, you will lead and develop the administrative department's tasks and ensure that the political and cross-administrative goals become a reality.
Managers and overarching functions within the department report to you on matters concerning their respective areas of operation. You will work with these functions and department heads for quality development and resource optimization.
You will organize, lead, and coordinate the administration's strategic work related to quality development, which will be a prioritized area.

Qualifications
- You have relevant academic education, such as a social worker or nurse.
- You have several years of experience in the field of social services and very good knowledge of the core mission, legislation, processes, and economy of social services.
- You are an experienced leader with several years of experience leading other managers.
- You have good knowledge and experience working with quality work in the field of social services.
- Approved security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) for employment.
- You have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
- As travel is required in the position, a driver's license is a requirement.

Interviews will be conducted on April 14 and April 22.
Tests may occur in this recruitment process.
