Your Role

Do you want a key role in improving Saab's chemical work?

Your future challenge will be to develop Saab's work with chemical products both nationally and internationally. You will ensure and streamline the work with our chemical tools and also be involved in leading strategic initiatives within the chemical area. The work also includes the implementation and monitoring of chemical legislation as well as coordination of chemical reporting. The role involves national and international collaboration with various functions and competencies within the organization.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate Saab's chemical work with our production sites both nationally and internationally regarding processes, methodology, and documentation.
• Drive and develop the work with our tool solutions for handling chemical products and substances. Train users and maintain the systems regarding data and documentation.
• Interpret and implement legislation, requirements, and standards within the chemical area.
• Overall coordination of internal and external chemical reporting.

You will be part of a working group led by the Group's Environmental Manager and work closely with the Group's Chemical Strategist. The working group consists of about ten people with different areas of expertise who collaborate to lead and guide Saab's environmental and climate work, which is a significant part of Saab's sustainability strategy.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills who takes initiative and contributes structure and clarity in their work. You are inspired to motivate and engage people to achieve the best possible results. You are a good communicator, collaborate well with others, and enjoy a variety of collaboration while also independently planning and executing projects.

You, as a candidate, have:

• Relevant technical college or university degree
• Several years of professional experience in the chemical field
• Good knowledge of chemical legislation
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Knowledge of chemical management systems
• Experience in chemical work within manufacturing or process industry
• Experience in international chemical work

Possible locations are Arboga, Karlskoga, Linköping, Stockholm, or Gothenburg. Travel within and outside Sweden is included in the job.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
