We are looking for a production manager who wants to lead the development and operation of our ventilation systems in the mine in a role where you ensure optimal air quality and energy efficiency, drive technology development forward, and participate in the green transition. In your role, you will also have personnel responsibility for four technicians.

Your role

As a production manager, you will have overall responsibility for the entire ventilation system in the mine. You will have personnel responsibility for four shift technicians and be part of the management team. You will work both daily and long-term to ensure effective and safe ventilation to enable operations and a good working environment. Your tasks include:

• Responsible for budget, operations, and working environment at the workplace
• Assistance, support, and expertise regarding the development and operation of the ventilation systems.
• Together with the ventilation group, drive technology development in the ventilation area.
• Lead and participate in projects, including the installation of new ventilation stations and energy efficiency projects.
• Monitor and track costs, energy utilization, and air quality.
• Troubleshoot data and drive ventilation work forward.
• Communicate with production regarding potential operational stoppages and other ventilation-related issues.
• Manage contractors and purchases as needed.
• Work cross-functionally with all departments to solve emerging problems and future solutions with ventilation.

What you bring with you

We are looking for someone who is interested in finding solutions to problems and curious about how things work. You are systematic and always try to understand the whole and the flows, for example, where to troubleshoot. You have good leadership skills and are attentive, which means you can take in information, compile different opinions, and communicate solutions and decisions. Additionally, you are driven and can push projects through yourself while motivating others to carry out the projects.

We prefer that you have an engineering degree, preferably in mechanical or mining engineering, but it is not a requirement. We also value other relevant experience related to the position. Previous work as a technician is a meritorious background.

You also need to have:

• Approved high school grades
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious, but not a requirement:

• Leadership experience
• Practical experience in ventilation work and project work
• Experience from the mining industry
