We are looking for a school nurse for a 100% temporary position for the school year 2025/2026, based at Färila School but also responsible for Los School. Färila School currently has 330 students from preschool to grade 9, and Los School has about 40 students from preschool to grade 9. Our student health organization consists of a special educator, special teacher, school social worker, school nurse, and study and career counselor. An IKT educator is also linked to student health.

Job Responsibilities

The work is primarily promotional and preventive based on a salutogenic approach. You will be part of the school's student health team and work to support students in a way that promotes learning in school. You will lead health conversations focused on lifestyle issues, vaccinate students according to the national vaccination program, and have an open clinic for minor care and treatment. Many medical decisions are made independently. Much of the work is done in collaboration with other colleagues in the student health team at the school. School nurses meet regularly at EMI team meetings led by the head of the medical services for student health. All school nurses receive external supervision in the EMI team.

Qualifications/Education

You who apply for the position are a licensed nurse and have a specialist nursing degree with a focus on health and medical care for children and adolescents, district nurse, or school nurse. You have a structured and service-oriented working method. It is important that you can see the whole picture regarding students and that you have good collaboration skills with both colleagues and guardians. You are a stable person with a professional approach. It is an advantage if you have experience in the medical services for student health. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Duration and Employment Rate

The position is a temporary position at 100% starting in the autumn term of 2025 until the spring term of 2026. Start date or by agreement.
