Clinical Microbiology is Hiring a Physician

Clinical microbiology has about 35 employees, of which five are doctors. With us, you have the chance to make a real difference by handling and analyzing patient samples and ensuring safe care for residents throughout the county. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an exciting position where you have the opportunity to influence your development within clinical microbiology. You will be part of a team consisting of resident doctors, specialists, biomedical analysts, nursing assistants, and senior physicians where you will collaborate closely. The role also includes collaborating with other operations within Region Gävleborg. You will help drive quality and development work by contributing your experiences and knowledge, and in your role, you will have contact with customers, authorities, and other stakeholders involved in quality work. With us, you will contribute to high-quality diagnostics through efficient work processes and first-class customer service.

As a physician with us, you will among other things:

• investigate, assess, and treat all types of microbiological issues
• drive the operation forward in medical matters and keep yourself updated on the latest developments in the profession
• implement improvements through verification assessments, procurements, and collaborations with other healthcare providers
• develop and implement routines to support clinical work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is structured and actively drives the work forward. You should also be able to see the bigger picture and always prioritize the best interests of the operations in your actions and decisions. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, and you work well with others.

In the role of physician, you should:

• hold a medical license, attached to the application
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language both orally and in writing.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have specialist training in a relevant field such as microbiology, bacteriology, virology, or healthcare hygiene. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in a clinical laboratory.

To work with us, a work permit for the Nordic countries is required.
