CBRN Soldiers and Instructors Wanted

1.CBRN Company is looking for several driven individuals for employment as CBRN soldiers at the Operations Department, Field Analysis Laboratories, EOD Troop in Boden, as well as instructors for conscript training.

Who are we?

The Total Defense Protection Center (SkyddC) in Umeå is the Swedish Armed Forces' knowledge center for protection against CBRN incidents – chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. 1.CBRN Company is the Armed Forces' primary resource in the CBRN field, and our personnel are trained to solve tasks with a high degree of complexity, both in everyday situations and during crises and wars. In addition to readiness and operations, the company also leads conscript training to place soldiers in the army, navy, and air force.

Main Responsibilities as a CBRN Soldier

• Service as a CBRN soldier at:
• CBRN reconnaissance group at the Operations Department.
• CBRN soldier at the field analysis laboratories.
• CBRN soldier at EOD in Boden.
• CBRN soldier/instructor at the GU department.

• Exercises and training to build deep knowledge in your specialist area.
• When sufficient training level is achieved: Readiness for national and international missions with short notice.
• Deepen and broaden your competence in the CBRN field or other soldier-related areas such as vehicle service, close combat, shooting training, and medical training.
• Plan and lead training of conscripts and colleagues in your areas of expertise.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Approved military basic training (conscription/GU) with grades at least JA-2-2. Alternatively, ongoing conscription with a prognosis of at least JA-2-2 at the time of recruitment.
• Meets the requirements according to FMFysS level 2 (Multitest 175p & field test 2 km in 13:30). The requirements must be met by the end of the probationary period.

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and responsible. You should have a good ability to work in a team and towards common goals. In your professional role, you are flexible and can handle arising tasks independently and together with your colleagues. You are engaged in your work and take responsibility for solving tasks and delivering good results.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Driver's license B
• Approved military basic training with CBRN focus
• Previous service as GSS/K
• Approved group leader training
• Scientific education
• Military driver's license for off-road vehicles and trucks
• Other relevant experience for the position

Level: OR1-5

Employment form: The employment is as GSS/K (Group leaders, soldiers, and sailors) under the support of the law (2012:332) on certain Armed Forces employments. The Armed Forces apply a probationary employment of 6 months and thereafter employment for up to 8 years with the possibility of extension for 4 years.

Work location: Umeå (for those applying for EOD: Boden)

Physical tests will be conducted before employment begins.

Start date: 2025-06-16 or by agreement.
