Business Description

The healthcare system is organized in a joint Department for Home Care responsible for services provided by nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists in both regular and special housing. We have close cooperation between the units.

Job Responsibilities

As a licensed nurse, you will be responsible for healthcare services in care and nursing homes as well as in regular housing. As a resource nurse, you will be based at Enens elderly care facility but will work across all our units where needed to ensure our operations during absences or high workload.

Your role includes coordinating good care and support for our patients, where you are part of the teamwork around the individual and their relatives. The role also includes guidance within the work team. We have a total of 25 nurses in the team distributed across different areas. We have close collaboration between colleagues and with the medically responsible nurse in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with further education suitable for the role or experience in similar work. You should be confident in working independently but also comfortable working in a team with other staff, be solution-focused and flexible as you will work across several units at short notice. Personal suitability is highly valued.

A valid B driver's license is required.

Under the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Gällivare Municipality offers reduced working hours to all permanent nurses within the Social Administration.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanently. The basic schedule will be a daytime schedule with weekend work. Night and afternoon shifts may be included in the schedule as needed, requiring flexibility from the applicant.

Salary

Monthly salary, individual salary setting. An additional payment will also be provided for this position.
