What does the job of a Physiotherapist at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

As a physiotherapist, you are responsible for ensuring that our residents' health care needs are met. An important task is also to guide, support, and educate other care staff and to be a good role model for your colleagues.

You work with care in everything you do, with great personal responsibility and the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial cooperation are of great importance in the assignment.

About Björknäsgården Elderly Home

Björknäsgården Elderly Home is a private elderly home that reopened in November 2019. We offer 126 accommodation places distributed across seven departments, of which 36 places are for dementia.

The residence is centrally located with close access to animals and nature. Parking and engine heaters are available for our car-driving employees. Björknäsgården is a residence that focuses on activities for our residents, both large and small. We are looking for employees who want to be part of our team and are eager to take their contact responsibility to a new level.

Who are we looking for?

  • We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist.
  • It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience as a licensed physiotherapist in elderly care.
  • You need to have good knowledge of health care regulations.
  • You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing and can document according to ICF and KVÅ (international and national classifications and coding systems).
  • You assess and work based on a rehabilitative and function-preserving care approach and according to the elderly's needs, wishes, and resources. You set goals for physiotherapeutic treatment and other interventions, evaluate, and follow up on these.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that medical technical and ergonomic products function and are used correctly. You can guide and educate employees regarding ergonomic products and ergonomics.
  • You can independently analyze strengths and weaknesses in professional competence and participate in your personal competence development.

Other information

Employment type: Permanent employment, we apply a 6-month probationary period

Scope: 100% according to agreement

Start date: According to agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
