The surgical department at Piteå Hospital is part of the regional orthopedic clinic. We have a planned daytime operation, primarily performing orthopedic surgeries. We also perform surgeries in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT. Additionally, we anesthetize patients for dental care and psychiatry.

Our surgical department includes a recovery unit, a day surgery clinic, and a sterile supply unit.

We are looking for

We are looking for a licensed nurse with several years of experience as a nurse who now has the ambition and qualifications to further educate themselves as an anesthesiology nurse. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the position. Experience in emergency care is an advantage.
We place great importance on personal qualities. You have a positive attitude and contribute to a good working environment in the unit. You should be able to take initiative, be flexible, and work well with others. You have a positive attitude towards change, quality, and development work.

This is what you will work with

As a nurse in the day surgery unit, you will be part of a team that takes care of patients pre- and post-operatively until discharge. The work is exciting, varied, and educational. The goal is for you to first be introduced to DKE (day surgery clinic and recovery unit). Then you will follow the anesthesiology nurse's work in the surgical department before starting your specialist training as an anesthesiology nurse. We hope you can start your specialist training within one year from your employment date.

Information about the position

We offer a temporary full-time position, with the possibility of permanent employment. Working hours are during the day. Start date by agreement.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
