The community planning sector is the combined technical sector in Säter municipality. The sector has gradually expanded and filled with competencies to create a team that takes us to the next level. In the near future, the sector will play a crucial role in developing and building the town. We now need to recruit another employee who wants to be part of that journey. Collaboration, service focus, and shared creative processes in a non-prestigious climate permeate the sector's work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a building permit officer/building inspector, you will work with the processing of building permits and notifications, as well as supervision according to the Planning and Building Act.

You will be involved from start to finish in the construction process. You review applications, send referrals, issue and dispatch building permit decisions. You handle the technical aspects of the building permit, hold technical consultations, review drawings, control plans, and technical documents based on both formal regulations and construction technical aspects. You perform site visits, hold final consultations, and assess whether a final decision can be issued.

You prepare and present cases before the Environmental and Building Committee. Providing advice, information, and service regarding construction issues to individuals and entrepreneurs is also part of the role.

You are expected to actively participate in collaboration with other colleagues in the community planning sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a building permit officer education or equivalent competence and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you possess good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will document and communicate daily with businesses, the public, and colleagues.

You have good knowledge of the Office suite. It is an advantage if you have worked in the processing and diary system Public 360.

A B driver's license is a requirement.
