High School Teacher in Business Economics and Entrepreneurship

This allows us to strengthen our team of skilled teachers with a teacher in business economics, entrepreneurship, and possibly other subjects.

About the Position

We are looking for a creative certified high school teacher who can enthusiastically create a stimulating learning environment for our students together with other colleagues. In the role of high school teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in business economics and entrepreneurship, and possibly other subjects for which you are qualified. We expect you to use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible achievement of goals and to provide mentorship. You will support students' social development and upbringing, and you will create a good learning environment for our students. You will stay updated on current research in your field.

About the Workplace

Rudbecksgymnasiet is one of Örebro Municipality's four high schools. The school is centrally located with about 1400 students and around 130 staff, where we prepare and equip our students for the future by making studies varied and reality-based. Rudbecksgymnasiet offers both university and vocational preparatory programs: the Economic Program, the Sales and Service Program, the International Baccalaureate, the Natural Science Program, the Social Science Program, and the Health and Social Care Program. The school also has a National Gymnasium for the deaf and hard of hearing with both university and vocational preparatory programs.

We are a school that has cross-school projects in which all programs participate, as well as an active effort around safety-creating activities and a built support organization for students in need of support. We see the benefit of working in teams and view each program as part of a whole. The school has a subject organization that teachers are part of, where professional development and subject and teaching development occur. Qualifications

As a person, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work. You have a good pedagogical ability and understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge. You are a communicative person who finds it easy to listen and adapt your way of communicating.

Collaboration with other educators and with student health staff is essential, and great importance is placed on collaborative skills. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• teaching certification with qualifications to teach business economics and entrepreneurship, or alternatively qualifications to teach mathematics, Swedish as a second language, and/or Swedish

Desirable:

• experience teaching students with deafness, hearing impairment, or general language disorders
• experience teaching elementary school students
