Kalmarsund Educational Consortium is a municipal association tasked with conducting and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

Stagneliusskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsund Educational Consortium and has about 1100 students and around 120 staff members. We offer programs in social sciences, economics, law, and commerce. We also have a unit for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities within the autism spectrum.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer you a creative and developing job in a dynamic learning environment, with great freedom to shape, plan, and develop the library operations together with your closest colleague. We have a total of 2 librarian positions at the school. You will work both independently and outwardly, serving as an important pedagogical resource at the school, where you will work closely with the school’s teachers and be part of the school’s working team. You will also collaborate with other librarians within the organization through network meetings, experience exchanges, and operational development.

A fundamental task is to support and guide students and teachers in their daily work. This includes literature and information dissemination, reading promotion, and media supply. One of the librarians' most important missions is to develop students' media and information literacy (MIL) by actively supporting teachers and participating in teaching in areas such as information retrieval, source criticism, and copyright. You are also expected to monitor developments in these areas.

The idea is for you to participate in various development and collaboration projects together with the schools' pedagogical staff to support and strengthen students' goal achievement. In addition, other usual librarian tasks will occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in library and information science or currently studying in the field.
Possess good digital competence and have solid knowledge in guiding and teaching information literacy.
Pedagogical education, experience in pedagogical work is an advantage.
