KSU, Nuclear Safety and Training AB, ensures the competence of the staff at Swedish nuclear power plants through both theoretical education and practical training in full-scale simulators. The company is in a development phase and we see an exciting future for ensuring competence for long-term and new nuclear operations.

The operations are conducted from our headquarters located in Nyköping and from our training facilities located in close proximity to the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals. KSU, with approximately 180 employees, is co-owned by Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, OKG AB, Ringhals AB, and is part of the Vattenfall Group.

We are now looking for a Project Manager for the Technical unit at KSU, Nuclear Safety and Training AB.

About the Job

The Technical unit is led by the Technical Manager and currently has about 50 engineers, technicians, and project managers. The unit is responsible for ensuring that KSU's simulators can be used for training as well as for testing, verification, and validation. We work to guarantee the availability of existing simulator systems and that they are in line with the reference framework. Our unit implements approved changes and renovations of the simulators and is responsible for operating, maintaining, and developing the simulators and their systems and software. We also manage KSU's IT infrastructure, including PCs, networks, telephony, and IT security.

The project activities within the Technical unit are extensive due to the modernization being carried out at the nuclear power plants. This means that new technology is continuously being introduced into the simulators, creating many interesting tasks. The operations are conducted from our headquarters in Nyköping and from our training facilities with simulators located in close proximity to the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Ringhals, and Oskarshamn.

Your Responsibilities as Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will report directly to the Technical Manager with responsibility for driving projects according to KSU's project model. You will manage projects in the range of 5-50 million SEK and coordinate with both internal and external parties.

The position involves travel to our local offices as well as occasional trips to suppliers both within and outside the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead projects according to KSU's project model
  • Be responsible for the project's timeline and budget
  • Report the project's status to relevant parties
  • Engage and motivate project members
  • Coordinate the project's components and milestones
  • Analyze and manage risks to ensure the project's benefits

Qualifications:

  • University degree with a technical focus
  • Project management training and experience in project management
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Swedish
  • Driver's license

Knowledge of nuclear power simulators and/or nuclear power plants is an advantage.
