Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby Aktiebolag operates two visitor destinations. In Astrid Lindgren's World, you can meet Astrid's stories and the characters from her books and films, and at Astrid Lindgren's Näs, you can deepen your knowledge about Astrid Lindgren's life and work.

We are now looking for a responsible props master for the theater department

As a responsible props master, you will primarily work with props for all theater productions in the fairy tale environments where we have performances. You will work with the existing props inventory as well as new production, purchasing, and orders. The tasks vary throughout the year and follow the season with planning, pre-production, repairs/operations during the performance period, and decommissioning. You will be responsible for ensuring that the financial frameworks are adhered to and report to the producer.

You will work closely with our directors, choreographers, and artistic leaders and be part of our technical team, which includes costume, sound, and stage technology, reporting to the technical producer.

You are expected to take significant personal responsibility, be used to working independently, but also be expected to lead others in your area of expertise during certain periods. Experience

We are looking for someone who is attentive, structured, and enjoys challenges. You thrive when tasks vary during periods of high tempo and working towards deadlines. You have vocational training in props/set design or have acquired equivalent theoretical and practical knowledge in other ways. It is advantageous if you have previously worked professionally in theater as a props master or in a similar role.

The position requires a B driver's license and that you are comfortable using a computer with basic skills in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe (Photoshop and InDesign).

Working hours/duration

The position is full-time, permanent, and to be filled as soon as possible.

Collective agreement/Salary

A collective agreement exists between Swedish Stage Arts and the Trade Union Scene & Film regarding employees at Private Scene, as well as local collective agreements for Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby AB. Monthly salary, individual salary setting.
