About the Department

The Eating Disorder Ward 364 East is a highly specialized inpatient ward with eight beds for adults with severe eating disorders.

The ward provides national highly specialized care (NHV) for patients from all over Sweden. As a nurse in the ward, you will work closely with nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, dietitians, and physiotherapists.

We are now looking for someone who wants to join us in continuing to develop our operations, focusing on providing the highest quality for our patients.

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities for a nurse in psychiatric inpatient care. You will lead the nursing work on the ward. Your duties include establishing and documenting care plans in collaboration with other staff; administering medications and monitoring medication treatments; placing nutritional tubes; conducting support conversations and providing psychosocial support to patients and relatives; planning follow-up after discharge. Collaborating with other professionals is an important part of daily work.

Work shifts will be during the day, evening, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Experience in psychiatry and eating disorder care is an advantage, but not a requirement. We seek someone who collaborates easily with colleagues and feels comfortable meeting patients with psychiatric issues.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulator Center. Additionally, it also includes work shifts in at least two different wards to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
