What do we offer?

We are in an exciting phase of building the Volvo Cars Torslanda Battery Assembly Plant, where we are creating a strong team to develop future manufacturing processes for our next generation of electric vehicles. Our task is to work together with other teams and functions to develop and secure the best possible processes for our upcoming Battery Plant.

You will have a unique opportunity to be involved at an early stage where we set the tone for the next chapter in our company history by designing working methods, processes, and building a strong team.

Until production starts in 2026, you will work in a project phase. Here, you will be part of the operational team that builds our first batteries. You will develop your knowledge while contributing to identifying improvements and deviations during the construction process.

What will you do?

As a forklift driver in the Battery Plant, you are responsible for receiving and delivering materials in the factory area. This must be done with a focus on quality, delivery, and safety.

You will be a member of a team that, at the start of production, will consist of between 5-9 people. Each team is collectively responsible for quality, economy, delivery, and team development.

Working hours:

This position is scheduled for evening shifts. Until production starts, everyone will work in the project phase during daytime.

You and your skills

We are looking for someone with previous experience in logistics or material handling, as well as approved grades at the high school level in Swedish 1/A, Mathematics 1/A, English 5/A, and Social Studies 1/A. We also see that you have knowledge in basic problem-solving. You should have good driving skills, and familiarity with traffic safety at Volvo Cars facilities and SAP experience is a plus.

A requirement for the position is that you must have a B driver's license and a forklift license TLP 10 A+B+D. You need to have good knowledge of both English and Swedish in speech and writing.

You will later in the process also be asked to upload your high school grades or equivalent, as one of the requirements to work with us is to be approved in the aforementioned courses.
