Air Traffic Controller Wanted at ATS Såtenäs

The Operations department provides air traffic services for civil and military aviation. The operations include operational air traffic control services (ATS), flight briefing services (AIS), meteorological services (MET), and communication services (COM). The total number of employees within Operations is approximately 400. ATS Såtenäs is a moderately sized ATS with 14 employees, located at Flottiljen F7. We work in an exciting environment with active combat aircraft divisions, basic training for both Swedish and foreign JAS pilots, and a transport aircraft division that houses all of the country’s Hercules planes. We also manage the approach control for the nearby Trollhättan airport, which involves a mix of civil scheduled flights and training flights.

Your Role

As an operational air traffic controller at Såtenäs, you will work with a varied flight operation with both national and international aspects, in close collaboration with other staff at the ATS. Since the operations are rule-based, you will always be responsible for staying updated and following applicable regulations and guidelines.

You will participate in scheduled activities, operational and training days, group meetings, and competency assurance programs. Your role also includes serving as an instructor in operational service, simulator, as well as EPN and LFV's training activities, as needed. You are positively inclined to perform other tasks outside of operational service.

We are looking for someone who

• Is an operational air traffic controller.
• Has the qualifications ADC/SUR, APS, and APP.
• Has MIL Upgrade.
• Is a Swedish citizen.

It is an advantage if:

• You have experience with military traffic.
• You hold qualifications at ATS Såtenäs.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent full-time position based at ATS Såtenäs. Start date by agreement. If you currently have an employment with LFV, the position is a permanent employment. If you do not have employment with LFV, the position is a temporary employment until the required qualifications are achieved.

Before employment, we conduct a security screening that includes a background check, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship. The stationing location is Såtenäs.
