We provide specialized healthcare in about thirty specialties and work together for the health of our patients throughout their lives, offering cohesive and secure care. Description

The Orthopedic Clinic provides care for patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. We perform both urgent and planned surgeries. The clinic operates inpatient and outpatient care at Skaraborg Hospital Skövde, Lidköping, and Falköping. The clinic has just over 40 doctors distributed among senior consultants, specialists, and residents. We also have interns, temporary junior doctors, rotating doctors from primary care, and medical students. The clinic offers orthopedic specialist care with team divisions in the areas of spine, pediatrics, prosthetics, trauma, and outpatient surgery (day surgery on hand and foot and arthroscopic procedures). The clinic also has an osteoporosis clinic and a Gait Analysis Lab with associated research. As the clinic is in an expansive phase, we are in need of an additional specialist physician!

Responsibilities

As a specialist physician in orthopedics at Skaraborg Hospital, you will work in one of the elective teams. You will also contribute to the acute surgery, aiming to prepare yourself to become competent in on-call duties in the future, if you are not already. The work is primarily located in Skövde, but depending on team affiliation, duties may also be relevant in Lidköping and Falköping.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in orthopedics. A begun subspecialization is an advantage but not a requirement. You are self-sufficient in outpatient care and can perform basic fracture surgery independently. Furthermore, you are open, responsive, and see collaboration between different professions as a prerequisite for a successful operation. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
