The dementia team in Kungälv municipality is now in need of more colleagues.

Our operations involve supporting users with a dementia diagnosis through home care based on approved assistance decisions.

The operation aims to provide support for a meaningful life where users can live under safe conditions, built on respect for self-determination and integrity. We work with BPSD assessment (behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia) to achieve a structured working method with clear goals and to gain more knowledge about dementia diseases.

Together with your colleagues, you are a key person in the network around the users. In the role of nursing assistant, you motivate and stimulate users based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes, which is why the tasks vary. You will be part of many people's life situations, which can be both interesting and challenging.

In the workgroup, you collaborate with other individuals and professions.

Furthermore, we are working on developing our advocacy roles and implementing welfare technology.

Working hours include day, evening, and every other weekend.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks include being a primary care contact, planning, implementing, and documenting in Treserva, as well as following up and performing health and medical care interventions delegated by a nurse.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, has several years of experience working with dementia, and experience working from an individualized approach. It is an advantage if you have a specialist nursing assistant education in dementia.

You should be interested in working with development and change, have good collaboration skills, initiative, and be able to work independently. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing as well as good computer skills are required. It is important that you have a positive view of people, a strong commitment, a sense of responsibility, and that you focus on the individual needs of the users.

A driver's license is a requirement for this position as we work throughout Kungälv municipality.
