Transport Administrator for the Swedish Armed Forces

About the Unit
The Transport Command Staff is part of the 1st Traffic and Transport Command Company, which is an independent company at the Göta Engineer Regiment T 2. The company supports the Armed Forces with transportation to and from operational areas and exercises. Furthermore, the Transport Command Staff assists with the transportation of foreign armed forces within Sweden's borders. The Transport Command Staff conducts transport planning and follow-up of transports. The Transport Command Staff participates in a large number of national and international exercises and missions, which at times involves a lot of traveling.
Main Responsibilities
As a civilian transport administrator, your main task will be to manage security protection plans for the Armed Forces' transport operations, both nationally and internationally, which involves close collaboration with regional and higher staffs and their security functions as well as the Armed Forces' central transport management (NMCC). Other common tasks include supporting other staff members with planning, implementation, and follow-up of transports and transits. You will be part of a planning team where you will prepare and plan the implementation and be part of a management team or functional support for the management and follow-up of the Armed Forces' transports nationally and internationally as well as foreign armed forces' transports in Sweden. Other common tasks include supporting other staff members with planning regarding, among other things, special transports, exemption matters, and medical transport management. The operations involve collaboration with our allies, which requires good knowledge of English.

Qualifications
- Approved high school diploma
- Driver's license class B
- Good knowledge of English
- Completed military basic training with conscription (grade JA-2-2) or equivalent

The position places high demands on good planning skills, orderliness, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under stress. You have the ability to quickly understand new conditions and tasks.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience from working in the Armed Forces
- Transport management/traffic service/staff assistant training or equivalent training deemed comparable
- Experience in transport planning
- Experience in security service
- Language skills in French, German, or other Nordic languages
- Experience with the Armed Forces' support systems, e.g., ISUS, SWECCIS, LOGFAS, VIDAR, SAP
- Driver's license class BE
- International service

The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not currently employed by the authority.

Business trips may occur in the position.

The Göta Engineer Regiment belongs to the army and is the only unit in the entire Armed Forces that exclusively works with logistics. Logistics is a collective term for supply, technical service, transport service, and defense medicine.
