About us

Närhälsan Hjo Health Center is located in the picturesque and beloved summer town of Hjo, right by the blue waves of Lake Vättern.

Our clinic has grown strongly over the past five years, and we currently have approximately 7,200 registered patients.

At Närhälsan Hjo Health Center, there are currently 4 resident doctors, 3 general practitioners, and home care physicians. In addition to regular health center services, we also have assessment clinics, nurse-led specialist clinics, child health care (BVC), and a mental health clinic, as well as a rehabilitation coordinator who supports the sick leave processes. We also offer a laboratory and medical foot care. We share premises with both maternal care and rehabilitation clinics, which leads to short distances and good cooperation. There are also some municipal service facilities under the same roof.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide range of responsibilities and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work independently and variably with clinic work. Guidance is provided by an experienced specialist, who offers you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities. About you

You are a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and general medicine. Alternatively, you have a medical degree and are currently working as a junior doctor awaiting a residency position. You possess Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good demeanor since you will meet many different patients at the health center. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in your work. We also see that you embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is a temporary contract for 6 months, with a possible extension and residency training.

For those who have trained as doctors abroad and have not completed a residency in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Training from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Training for doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the specialization training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means that you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your residency.
