We are now looking for a colleague who wants to help make Volvo Buses Säffle the obvious choice when our customers need assistance upgrading/renovating their bus fleet.

Who are we?

We are about 45 people working at Volvo Buses in Säffle. The operation consists of three departments: Body Refurbishment, Body Parts Europe, and a Bus Technician school. Our customers range from small sole proprietorships to large passenger transport companies. Body Parts Europe stocks, manufactures, and provides spare parts to our customers in Europe. Our Bus Technician school trains the bus technicians of the future in the latest technology. Body Refurbishment upgrades buses, creates prototypes, restores crash damage, paints, and renovates.

Who are you:

You enjoy working in a varied environment where you have the opportunity to develop and try out many different areas of work within the department. You are a team player but also have no problem eventually performing tasks independently. You may have experience working with heavier vehicles, but above all, the willingness to learn and develop is what is important to us. We are a smaller organization where you have a great opportunity to make a difference at work.

Your main tasks:

  • Dismantling/assembling vehicle components.
  • Repairing crash damage, from minor paint damage to replacing and aligning larger parts on buses.
  • General renovation of buses, from replacing decals to changing interiors.

Desired qualifications:

  • Preferably experience from working on buses or heavy vehicles or a vehicle technical education.
  • A driving license (B) is required, as travel is involved in the position.
  • A driving license (D) is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
  • An asset is if you have knowledge in any of the following areas: welding, painting, or flooring.
