HR Expert at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

The main task of the HR department is to contribute to ensuring that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service has good conditions to further develop its ability to achieve its goals by being an attractive employer, workplace, educational provider, and partner that makes a difference in society.

The HR department consists of four units and has about 400 employees distributed among the units of operational HR, planning and employer development, leadership and employee relations, and training.

The operational HR unit is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and following up on employer support for managers within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The unit provides operational HR support, advice, and guidance to strengthen managers in their employer role and increase their ability to lead operations and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HR expert at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you will guide the organization's managers on issues across the entire HR field, with a particular focus on workplace environment issues.

The role involves working and navigating issues on both a short- and long-term basis, participating in competency development initiatives, supporting our managers in individual cases such as rehabilitation issues, and working on development issues within leadership and employee relations. You will also collaborate with our competency supply expert to work together on management supply and emphasize the importance of workplace environment issues in, for example, competency supply planning.

You will work in a developing and supportive environment where you have the opportunity to independently and collaboratively with colleagues develop the workplace environment work for the entire Swedish Prison and Probation Service. To create a learning and equality in the work, you will be part of a national network with other experts in leadership and employee relations.

The work involves some national business trips per year and travel within the region according to your and the organization's planning.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in HR or a relevant field that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service assesses as relevant
• Several years of broad experience from qualified and independent HR work in a larger organization
• Experience working at an operational level with workplace environment issues and supporting managers in rehabilitation cases
• Very good knowledge of workplace environment issues
• Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with competency supply issues and management supply planning
• Experience working with leadership and employee relations issues
• Experience training managers in workplace environment issues
• Experience in HR work within public administration
