Vacancy: Vacuum Truck/Combination Operator at SERWENT in Gävle

SERWENT is your local contractor for water and sewage services. We have a turnover of around 350MSEK and employ 200 skilled staff in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Västerås, Uppsala, and Gävle. The position is located at SERWENT in Gävle with a new office in Valbo directly adjacent to E16. Here, a cheerful team is driven by the desire to help our customers with their needs. We currently consist of about a dozen operators with an equally large fleet at our disposal. We provide services in ADR, sludge transportation, flushing assignments, pipe inspection, and emergency services. Our operators usually work within their own segment, but we help each other when needed.

We are looking for new colleagues for the summer with the possibility of continuing to work with us after the summer period.

About the position

The role of vacuum truck/combination operator is varied and gives you great freedom under your own responsibility. We work on behalf of property owners, private individuals, companies, and municipalities. As an operator, you are expected to take responsibility for your tasks and ensure that the work is done on-site according to the assignment you are serving. You are responsible for professional interaction, problem-solving, and reporting deviations. We have a solid fleet and all the equipment needed at your disposal.

Typical tasks may include:

• Main flushing/maintenance
• Sewage flushing in properties
• Filming/pipe inspection
• Pipe milling
• Sludge suction, waste disposal
• ADR hazardous waste

About you and what we are looking for

In this role, you will meet our customers daily on-site, so it is important that you have a good sense of service and can express yourself well in Swedish. A B and C driver's license and a Professional Competence Certificate (YKB) are required. A CE driver's license and ADR certificate are advantageous but not mandatory. As a person, you are stress-resistant, meticulous, and flexible. You are also responsible and used to taking your own initiatives. As a driver, you are secure, safe, and can plan your driving well - both in terms of traffic safety and environmental impact.

Industry experience is not a requirement but is advantageous. The job involves some heavy tasks, so good physical condition is a plus. If you have knowledge of water and sewage (VA - VVS), this is also advantageous.

On-call duty may be included, which means you may need to respond during your on-call hours between 4:00 PM and 7:00 AM on weekdays and be available on some weekends. On-call duty is distributed among all our vacuum truck operators.
