Sewer Truck Operator at SERWENT in Gävle

SERWENT is your local contractor for water and sewage services. We have a turnover of around 350MSEK and employ 200 skilled staff in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Västerås, Uppsala, and Gävle. We continue to see high demand for our services and are looking for more competent and engaged colleagues who want to join us on our journey. We are currently recruiting 2 sewer truck operators for Gävle with the possibility of permanent employment after the summer. The position is located at SERWENT in Gävle with a new office in Valbo directly adjacent to the E16. Here, a cheerful team works together to help our customers with their needs. We currently have about a dozen operators with an equally large fleet at our disposal. We provide services in ADR, sludge transportation, flushing assignments, pipe inspections, and emergency services. Our operators usually work within their own segment, but we help each other whenever needed.

We are looking for 2 new colleagues to strengthen our sludge group, which currently consists of 4 people.

More about the position

As a sewer truck operator, you will drive your vehicle to assignments for both private and municipal clients throughout Gästrikland. SERWENT vacuums and empties sludge from sewage facilities, which we then deliver to a facility in Sandviken.

As a sewer truck operator, you plan your days yourself and are expected to take responsibility for ensuring that the work is done correctly. You have a sense of logistics and route planning and enjoy working independently under responsibility. You have your own vehicle and equipment that you take care of. You will have a tablet with you in the vehicle that shows where you can go and allows you to plan the route you find suitable.

Your colleagues support you via phone and are available to assist when needed. Work may involve taking breaks and lunches at the location you are currently at. Therefore, you are responsible for how you structure your days.

More about you and what we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience from similar work. This is therefore meritorious but not a requirement. You have a CE driver's license and a Professional Competence Certificate (YKB). The work involves some heavy tasks, so good physical condition is a plus. Knowledge of ADR or property and plumbing is advantageous but not required.

In the role of Sewer Truck Operator, you will meet our customers on-site daily, and we believe that you have a good sense of service and for meeting people, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written. As a person, you are stress-resistant, responsible, and used to taking your own initiatives. As a driver, you are confident, safe, and can plan your driving well - both in terms of traffic safety and environmental impact.

Serwent applies individual salary setting and a collective agreement exists. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. The salary can be based on a fixed model or a piecework model. We conduct alcohol and drug tests upon hiring.
