The primary school/adapted primary school is part of the Education Administration. The operation includes 21 primary schools and an adapted primary school, with a total of about 4500 students. Five of the primary schools are secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school care.

Norra School is a multicultural school (grades F-6) with a focus on sports and health, centrally located in Motala, close to outdoor areas, Lake Vättern, and the city library. We believe that movement is good for both body and mind, and that physical activity facilitates students in reaching their knowledge goals.

• Students gain knowledge about the importance of diet, movement, and sleep for well-being.
• We work on social skills and good self-awareness.
• Students get acquainted with a number of local sports clubs, ranging from wrestling to fitness and dance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on the curriculum and course plan. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment and support, motivate, and stimulate students' knowledge development through varied working methods based on their individual conditions. In teaching, you make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities, encouraging creativity and curiosity, and making it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways. You work based on proven experience and research and strive for students to have the best possible development, both academically and socially. You carefully document students' performance and development. You maintain contact and collaborate with guardians and other actors outside the school and inform guardians about students' development. Through systematic quality work, you work to ensure that set goals are achieved. Together with your team, you develop the school's mission and continuously promote collegial learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Teacher certification/qualification

You are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in relevant areas.

Swedish spoken and written

You have a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.

Experience

Experience working in educational activities is an advantage.

You organize and plan your work well, work according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set time frames and meet deadlines.

You take active initiatives in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create new relationships and maintain relationships.

You work well with others. Relate to them in a responsive and smooth way. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.
