About the Job

As a caregiver in department 24, you will work with both psychiatric and somatic care.

You will conduct tests such as alcohol tests, blood tests, and blood pressure checks. You will have patient conversations and document your part of the work. A caregiver is always present during doctor conversations, which gives you great opportunities for learning and development, as well as contributing to the common work for the patient's best.

About the Workplace

Department 24 in Varberg is Halland's only department for addiction care, which means we work with both psychiatric and somatic care related to addiction and substance abuse. Here, we conduct withdrawal observations and treatments, and we establish social plans for discharge. We who work here have a holistic view of the care of our patients. We collaborate a lot with other agencies, both internally and externally. Here, we work together in teams, listen to each other, and believe that everyone's opinions are important, regardless of profession. We enjoy a fast-paced environment and have the opportunity in our daily work to make a real difference for our patients.

We are a cohesive workgroup that wants to continue developing care to provide the best possible treatment for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed caregiver training (nursing program, care and nursing program, or equivalent) with at least a passing grade in all courses. You should have completed Psychiatry 2, 200 credits, or an equivalent course in previous education. Completed training within the Care and Nursing College is an advantage, as well as experience working in psychiatric care. Other education than the above may be relevant if assessed as equivalent by the employer.

Here, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad competence as you will work with both psychiatric and somatic care. We want you to be attentive to the patient's needs, enjoy collaborating with others, and want to help develop our department. We have varied care loads, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, but you also thrive when it is a bit calmer with plenty of time for conversations and other activities with our patients.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we see that you are an engaged and proactive person, with the ability to work flexibly. You have pedagogical insight and are good at adapting your communication to the recipient. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Warm welcome to your application!
